For warehouse & narrow-aisle environments
Reach forklifts operate in narrow aisle warehouse environments to access high racking safely and efficiently. This specialist training develops the skills, spatial awareness, and load management techniques needed to operate these vehicles in demanding storage environments.
Under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and HSENI guidelines, all forklift operators must be trained and certified by a qualified instructor. Unqualified operators represent a serious legal, safety, and insurance risk for any business.
All forklift operators must complete training delivered by a qualified instructor meeting HSENI standards — not internal instruction alone.
Operator certification must be documented and kept up to date — available for inspection by HSENI, insurers, and auditors at any time.
Forklift certifications are not indefinite. Refresher training is required to maintain valid, up-to-date operator status — typically every 3–5 years.
Counterbalance and reach truck certification are separate. Operators must hold the correct certification for the specific vehicle type they operate.
