What Does the Category D Licence Allow?

A Category D licence allows the holder to drive any bus or coach with more than 8 passenger seats. Combined with a Driver DQC qualification, it enables the holder to drive these vehicles professionally and commercially.

It is the required licence for roles with bus companies, coach operators, tourism providers, and public transport organisations across Northern Ireland and the wider UK.
